Steve is Of Counsel with the firm, and heads the firm’s Chemistry, Materials, and Medical Imaging Practice Group. His practice currently focuses on drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the medical imaging, materials, and energy fields, including providing strategies for foreign patent prosecution. Steve also provides guidance on obtaining IP protection for various institutions, small businesses, and individual inventors, including trademark rights, trade secrets, and confidentiality issues in addition to utility and design patents. He has extensive experience in the medical device, materials, business methods & software, and mechanical arts, as well as in various consumer product fields. Steve is also a former research scientist with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.
